This is version 1.0: the first public release, bringing together the speech and language tools I’ve been building for Manx into one place.

What’s in 1.0

Speak turns Manx text into spoken audio.

Listen transcribes Manx speech into text.

Translate converts between Manx and English.

Timestamp aligns a recording with its transcript for subtitles and labelling.

Everything runs on models trained on Manx language resources, and the whole platform is free to use.

What this means

Reaching 1.0 means the core tools are stable enough for everyday use. They are still experimental, so expect the occasional rough edge, but they are ready for you to try on real tasks.

What’s next

I’ll keep improving quality, adding features, and collecting more Manx data to train on. Fixes and updates will be posted here on the blog, so check back to see what’s new.

If you’d like to help, whether with data, feedback, or a particular use case, please get in touch through the feedback page.

Gura mie ayd for your support, and I hope you find the tools useful.

The Gaelg AI platform is now live as version 1.0, bringing the Speak, Listen, Translate, and Timestamp tools together in one place.
